Dulux trade paint as standard (or your preferred brand). Dust-free sanders, dust sheets on every job. Engineered floors and finishes carefully masked off before any paint hits a wall. If we don't do something — major plastering, scaffolded work, lead paint stripping — we'll say so and recommend someone we trust.

How we quote
Every job is different. Here's exactly what we look at when we visit:
- Surface area. Walls, ceilings and woodwork measured properly — not paced out.
- Condition of the existing paint. Heavy filling, sanding or wallpaper removal adds prep time.
- Number of coats needed. Deep colours over light walls usually need three; a refresh in the same shade often only needs two.
- Material costs. We pass on our Dulux trade discount. Materials are itemised separately on every quote, so you can see what you're paying for paint vs. labour.
- Access. Ground-floor rooms are quicker than scaffolded exteriors. We'll tell you if scaffolding is needed before you commit.

How the colour consultation works
Choosing the right colour is the hardest part of decorating. North-facing rooms eat warm tones; south-facing rooms wash cool ones out. A 6cm tester square almost never matches the wall. So we do it the same way we do flooring — bring the samples to your home, hold them against your walls in your actual light, beside the furniture and floor they need to live with.
Redecorate AND re-floor — one project
Most decorators don't fit flooring. Most flooring companies don't decorate. We do both — one team, one project plan, one invoice. Decorator finishes Friday, fitter starts Saturday. No six-week dance between two trades, no marked floors from painting after fitting.

Yes — that's the whole idea of the free home consultation. We bring sample boards in the colours you're considering, hold them against your walls in your actual light, and help you decide. No charge, no pressure to book.
How quickly can you start?
Most jobs are booked 2–4 weeks ahead. We sometimes have shorter slots for last-minute work — call us and we'll tell you honestly when we can fit you in.
Do you move furniture and protect the floor?
Yes. Dust sheets on every job, furniture moved to the centre of the room and covered, floors protected. We tidy at the end of every working day, not just at the end of the job.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Yes — a 12-month workmanship guarantee on every painting and decorating job. If anything fails because of how we did the work (peeling, missed prep, paint defects on our part) within 12 months, we come back and put it right at no charge.
Are you insured?
Yes — public liability insurance, full cover. Happy to send you the certificate before we start work.
Can you paint and re-floor a room in the same project?
Yes — unlike most local decorators, we handle both the decorating and the flooring in-house. The decorator finishes, the fitter follows. Ask for a "room makeover" quote when you book.
